Two of the natural methods that really saved me from smelling feet are baking soda soak and sugar scrub. These together applied consecutively are the perfect solutions to eliminate that foot odor. See how and why.

1. Baking soda soak

For this soak, you will need 1 tablespoon of baking soda, one lemon juice, 1 quart of lukewarm water and a towel.

Thus, pour 1 quart of lukewarm water into a tub. Then, add 1 tablespoon of baking soda to it. The reason for using baking soda is that it has deodorizing and antimicrobial properties. Hence, it provides dual benefits for your stinky feet. You can also add a squirt a little fresh juice from a lemon to give your foot bath a fresh feel.

Then, you need to soak your feet in the baking soda foot bath for about 30 minutes. This is a perfect time for you to relax while the soak will act on your feet to eliminate the odor.

After 30 minutes, wipe your feet dry with a towel. Make sure you dry the space between your toes and let your feet stay bare for some time, around 10-15 minutes. Then, it is time to give an extra scrub with sugar. Check it out!

2. Sugar scrub

For this sugar scrub, you will need a ½ cup of water, 2 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol, 6 tablespoons of sugar and another towel.

First, you need to dilute the rubbing alcohol with the water. Thus, add 2 tablespoons of rubbing alcohol to ½ cup of water. The, put 6 tablespoons of sugar in a bowl and add the diluted rubbing alcohol to form a paste. The paste should be a spreadable consistency, neither too thick nor too runny. As you will see, the rubbing alcohol will be very effective in killing bacteria and the sugar will help you with a little exfoliation.

That’s it, your sugar scrub is ready for you to use. You can increase or decrease the quantity of the scrub as you need it, but this paste will be enough for one-time use for both of your feet.
