When we get sick and don’t treat the problem properly, a large amount of mucus accumulates in the lungs causing congestion, coughing, breathing problems, pain, and so on. In this article, we will explain to you how to prevent and eliminate mucus from the lungs using natural remedies.
How to soften mucus?
The first step to get rid of the mucus from the lungs is to soften it, otherwise it will be harder to remove it from the lungs.
The best way to do this is to inhale the steam in the pot where you’ve had several medicinal plants.
How do I do that?
Boil 2 liters of water in a pot and add some herbs. We recommend using pine, thyme, rosemary, eucalyptus, chamomile and oregano. Some herbal stores sell blends of this kind, already wrapped.
After boiling for 5-10 minutes, you will see that the water releases some aromatic steam. Take the pot off the stove, and put it in front of you. Cover your head with a towel and sit with your face up over the pot (be careful not to burn your face with hot steam).
Inhale deeply into the nose, pushing one nostril and breathing with the other and vice versa.
You can also breathe through your mouth.
You can repeat the procedure several times a day.
