We all know, acne scars suck! For those who desire a safe alternative to get rid of the scars left behind from pimples and acne, this homemade Calendula cream may be the best available solution.
While you can nab calendula-infused salves off the shelf, making your own is a more all-natural, eco-friendly and wallet-lightening way to improve your skin. If your face tells the story of your most recent run-in with acne, use this homemade cream to lighten up the stubborn scars that linger long after breakouts are gone.
How to make Calendula cream:
Pick the flowers in the early daytime, aim for 25g of flowers (approximately 25 flowers) to make just over 50g of cream. Chop the flowers up roughly.
Place 35g emulsifying ointment in a ceramic bowl over a pan of boiling water, and heat until it is liquid. Add 20g glycerine and 20ml water to the melted emulsifying ointment and stir. Add the chopped flowers to the bowl, and stir.
Cover and simmer very gently for up to 3 hours. Strain the mixture through a jelly bag into a sterilized glass jar.
Put lids loosely on the jars to allow the cream to cool down.
Apply this magic cream to acne scars areas and massage for ten minutes. Repeat the procedure in the morning and in the evening for a month. In no time you’ll be amazed by the results! Acne scars will vanish like magic!
